Sony News - Pulled Firmware Update Will be Re-released Mid-week Says Sony

The long awaited PS3 2.40 firmware update was pulled following technical issues. Sony have just announced that it’ll be re-released sometime this week. According to customer support, version 2.41 will be available “mid-week”, and should be clear of all errors. However, Sony has yet to make an official statement confirming this.

The original 2.4 update is still available from various sites around the Internet; however you can’t download it from your PS3.
