It's been coming all week. Blizzard have been teasing fans with a new splash page on their website which gradually let up hints that Diablo 3 is on the way. The creators of Warcraft finally confirmed it for fans. Diablo 3 is in development and it's looking great. They teased us with a minute long trailer. They then dropped 29 high resolution screenshots on us. To cap off the announcement was an 18min demonstration of gameplay footage. Two classes and their accompanying information can be seen on the website. The combat-heavy Barbarian is a direct contrast with the magic-centric Witch Doctor. There are five in total, but they're all that Blizzard were willing to reveal. The world map shows a decent amount of exploration space, with some brief information about Caldeum and Tristram on show. We've uploaded a shot of the world map below for your viewing pleasure. Deep Silver have released new details about its upcoming sequel to the successful PC title S.T.A.L.K.E.R Shadow of Chernobyl. Set one year before the original, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Clear Sky puts you in the shoes of Scar, a lone mercenary who enters the Zone before the explosion that sets the scene for the first game. Comments (4) |

Last week, EA released the Spore Creature Creator and it's already been downloaded thousands of times. The Internet is filled with millions of YouTube videos of lewd creatures. If that's not enough Spore goodness for you, then we've got even better news. EA have announced that a limited edition will be produced, codenamed the Spore Galactic Edition. The box will contain a 'Making Of' DVD, the usual art mini-book, a poster and a 100-page handbook. On top of that is a DVD documentary from the National Geographic Channel. According to this forum post (off of the official 2K forums), the activation limits for Bioshock (2007’s hit FPS) have been removed. You still have the register / activate the game online, but you’re no longer limited, allowing you to install it on as many machines as you like, legit CD-willing of course. Whether or not the original limitation helped stem the piracy of the product, we’ll never know but it’s a welcome relief for those that are genuine customers. This only applies to the PC version. This joins news today that Atari’s Alone in the Dark will feature Securom DRM, much to the disguist of the community. Comments (4) |
