Shacknews has scooped some information from the producer on Spore, Thomas Vu (which in turn was sourced from CNet). He revealed that Spore is “roughly a week away from completion.” The game’s expected to go gold next week so that it’ll make its 7^th September release date on PC / Mac. John Riccitiello, the CEO on EA also raised the possibility of a Spore publishing label, something the Sims only has the honour of. He also mentioned the possibility of paid DLC and expansion packs, but reaffirmed that the launch is the top priority at the moment.
