Ubisoft have quietly announced on their website that they are working on a patch to address many of problems that players have encountered in Assassin’s Creed. There have been graphical glitches and crashes reported so expect those to be at the top of the list. Although it’s generally good news for gamers, it also carries a blow for DX10.1 adopters, as the patch will remove the option to play Assassin’s Creed with the DX10.1 features. This is down to the removal of a DX10.1 graphical renderer engine which has been causing instability. There’s no release date for the patch as of yet but expect to download it here as soon as becomes available.

In the mean time be sure to check out our review of Assassin’s Creed.
