Load up your Nintendo Wii and the Virtual Console and you’ll be greeted by two new games which join the already 194 title strong system. First up is Super R-Type, originally released for the SNES and considered one of the best sidescrollers ever. It can be picked up for 800 Wii Points. If R-Type isn’t your cup of tea then make sure you check Operation Wolf out. For 500 Wii Points this 1989 NES title allows you to fight through the jungle to save the day.

In other news be sure to check out these new screenshots for Call of Heroes – Pompolic Wars, a new hack and slash RPG on its way to the Wii. It’s offering two characters to choose from, each with their own unique weapons and abilities (up to fifteen). There are 15 levels and 18 different type of monsters and 3 bosses to finish the game off.

Any Wii fanboys who fight for their console’s prowess will be proud to churn out these figures. Super Smash Bros. Brawl is the fastest selling Nintendo title in America ever. Super Smash Bros. Brawl has made the leap from video game to cultural phenomenon. Game reviewers and the public alike praise its fun game play and extensive, inventive content.”

Some final titbits of news; Tragnarion Studios, the minds behind Doodle Hex are now an officially licensed Wii developer and finally there’s a preview event next Wednesday for Wii Fit at the London Science Museum.

Update: Final bit of Wii news is that Opoona, KOEI's new RPG has gone gold for the US.
