It’s a mixed week for Microsoft. Their keynote speech at E3 was (argubely) the best of the big three. Then they went on to announce that their games division has recorded profit of $426 million for the first time since it was formed. Moments later shares fell 6% as projected earnings didn’t match up to the expected 0.49 (0.48 was the reality). This was down to a $488 million loss by the online division. Chris Liddell put it down to the credit crunch and the economic slowdown that’s accompanying it.

please do not say that microsoft was the best of E3, because it isn't and if you feel that it is then, it is a matter of opinion not a fact.

Show me why nintendo or sony was the best in show.
You can't can you. Microsoft was the best in show.
No one can say any different because it was true.

Sony's conference was better, because, unlike Microsoft, they didn't spend 4/6ths of the show stealing features from their competitors and introducing some of the worst casual games yet created. The only reason people are ignoring that is because of the FFXIII Announcement.

Best Announcement =/= Best Conference. Other then Fallout & Gears, it was an outright snore.

Because ingame XMB is such an original concept, what about trophies?

Sony has nothing to rest itself on besides insomniac studios. They have 2 more chances along with Home to get back on their feet and stay there. If MGS4 makes it's way to 360 that will be a major death blow.

In game xmb is original, it's the xmb that sony created........and in game, which is making their creation in game. It's not copying microsoft in game dashboar.........wait, there is no in game dashboard that's right!

If MGS4 goes to 360 and isn't announced in the next 3-6 months, it's gonna get a whopping Bioshock to PS3 "Big Deal"
