Yes Mr Molyneux, we’ve heard of you and your Fable series. It’s one thing to play the celebrity, but Peter’s recent comments just come across as arrogant. With the news of Fable II on 360 going gold, Molyneux has stated that it’s “the best, most complete game I’ve ever worked on.” He’s gone as far as to say that “I’d rate it as 9 out of 10.” We’ll be the judge of that. Not one for tact he’s blurted that “It’s a role-playing game, but where are the f**king icons? Aren’t you supposed to be cluttering the screen up with mini-maps and the like? Not Us.” This all comes via Xbox World 360, one of the CVG magazines. We’ll make up our own mind on October 24th when it lands in stores.  Be first to comment this article

It’s been a killer summer for Xbox Live Arcade gamers. Geometry Wars 2, Galaga and Bionic Commando are just a few games that fulfil their cheap price successfully. Microsoft have no intention of slowing down as 3D Realms’ XBLA shooter Duke Nukem 3D gets pencilled in for a September release. The game isn’t just a vanilla port. Still not convinced by SoulCalibur IV, even with Yoda / Darth Vadar? Here’s your chance to try out the hit fighting title. Log onto Xbox Live and you’ll be able to grab the 695 MB demo. Namco Bandai’s series has always stood popular with fighting experts and the latest edition is no different. Starved for a fresh gaming experience? Xbox Live Marketplace has two new demos today. First up is EA’s cartoon boxing title, FaceBreaker. It’s pretty hefty at 954.56 MB but gives you enough to weigh up whether it’s worth purchasing. Secondly (and it may only appeal to US readers) is the latest edition of the popular NFL series, Madden 09. At 1.09 GB the game showcases over 85 new features and enhancements over the previous game. As part of Microsoft’s ‘Summer of Arcade’ special, the release schedule for the upcoming Xbox Live Arcade Titles has been released. A series of new titles kicks off with Geometry Wars Retro Evolved 2, which will be out this Wednesday for 800 MS points. On August 6th, the puzzle-platformer ‘Braid’ by Jonathan Blow is due out, and ‘Bionic Commando: Rearmed” will be appearing on August 13th. As announced during E3 ‘Galaga Legions’ is also making a come-back, and the remake of this classic shooter will be released on August 20th. Last, but not least, ‘Castle Crashers’ from The Behemoth Studio will be appearing on August 27th. | |
