With eleven days until release in the UK and fifteen for the US, Atari announced that Alone in the Dark, the New-York set survival horror game has gone gold. The game is due out on Xbox 360, the PC, the Wii and the Playstation 2. The Playstation 3 version has been set back until this autumn. The development team, Eden games, is better known for driving games with titles like Test Drive Unlimited and V-Rally under their belt, so we’re eagerly waiting to see if the change of scenery is successful. Phil Harrison spun the usual PR web of: “With its genre-busting mix of gameplay, wide-screen presentation style and DVD chapter select feature putting the player in control, Alone in the Dark will thrill all gamers. It’s a game which will challenge the player but also reward them with one-of-a-kind video game experience and a huge amount of fun.” The game’s due to the 20th in Europe and the 24th in the US. www.centraldark.com is your port of call for all your official queries.
