While the general consensus in the industry is a view of financial growth, reshuffling and restructuring is continually occurring. The latest company to undergo summer cleaning is Activision Blizzard. Fresh from its merger, Mike Griffith, the CEO of Activision has stated that the company is “focussed on improving efficiency across the combined organization.” While Crash Bandicoot, Ice Age, Spyro and Prototype have all been deemed safe, Ghostbusters and Brutal Legend are being treated cautiously. There’s realignment going on at Radical Entertaiment and High Moon Studios and the possible abandonment of Massive Entertainment and Swordfish Studios.
