Load up your Nintendo Wii and the Virtual Console and you’ll be greeted by two new games which join the already 194 title strong system. First up is Super R-Type, originally released for the SNES and considered one of the best sidescrollers ever. It can be picked up for 800 Wii Points. Like the downloadable Xbox Originals or the buyable Platinum ranges, Xbox Live Arcade is seeing a similar concept; Xbox Live Arcade Hits. On offer is Assault Heroes, the winner of the IGN Xbox Live Arcade 2006 award and its only 400 Microsoft Points. There’s Doom for a similar 400 which recreates the iconic FPS with full 5.1 surround sound. On the horizon (for Xbox Live Arcade generally) is Rock and Bullwinkle, TiQal, Wits and Wagers and Wolf of the Battlefield: Cammando 3. Also be sure to pick up the new 13 strong downloadable car pack for Forza 2 on the 19th March for 400 Microsoft points. Full list as follows: Be first to comment this article |

Is Microsoft quaking in its boots after the collapse of HD-DVD or is just some general strategic marketing? Either way, whatever reason you put to it, Microsoft have reduced the cost of their Xbox360 range. Come the 14th of March you’ll be able to pick up and Xbox Elite at £259.99, the Premium at £199.99 and the Arcade at £159. That’s a big reduction and will be sure to please those sat on the fence. If for some reason you’ve held off playing Football Manager 2008 this long, then you should be pleased to know that if you own an Xbox360 then Football Manager 2008 has finally gone gold. It has some unique online modes, like challenging friends to one on one matches and hosting tournaments. Miles Jacobson, the Studio Director at Sports Interactive said: “We’re really pleased to be able to offer all Xbox360 owners the chance to play Football Manager. This year’s game is the first that “core” users will be able to enjoy due to the hard work of the development team, and we look forward to getting a new generation of budding Football Manager’s across Europe."
The game’s due out on the 360 on March 28th. Comments (7) |
