We’ve got good news for PS3 owners. Ascaron have announced that they’re teaming up with Deep Silver to develop the action RPG Sacred 2 for the system. The game is expected to land on the 7th November. Heiko Tom Felde, the Managing director said: “We are delighted to be developing a PS3 version of Sacred 2 – Fallen Angel and are looking forward to entertaining an even bigger community of players. We’ve been in development for over a year on this task, and can now proudly unveil our current state of development to the public, featuring enhanced graphics and using the full potential of the PS3 hardware.” The PS3 version will have four player multiplayer and two player local. Since the merger of Activision-Blizzard, nothing really has changed. The general populace are unlikely aware of the deal even being struck. A small indication of the business partnership comes today in the form of a crossover. Activision’s Guitar Hero III is getting a free downloadable track in the form of ‘I am Murlock’ which debuted at BlizzCon 2005. The track will be downloadable on the 26th of June for both PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game. It’s clever marketing as it coincides with Blizzard’s worldwide event on the 28 / 29th June. Ubisoft are taking the design process to the masses by giving you a chance to vote on what achievements should be in the latest Prince of Persia. As a thank you to the community for its enthusiasm, the developers have given you choice of achievements that you want to see in the game. The one with the highest votes will be revealed on the 1st of July and then put in the game. They also state that you shouldn’t be worried if you’re a Playstation 3 fan as there’s something special planned, which possibly points towards the elusive Home trophies. Last week, EA released the Spore Creature Creator and it's already been downloaded thousands of times. The Internet is filled with millions of YouTube videos of lewd creatures. If that's not enough Spore goodness for you, then we've got even better news. EA have announced that a limited edition will be produced, codenamed the Spore Galactic Edition. The box will contain a 'Making Of' DVD, the usual art mini-book, a poster and a 100-page handbook. On top of that is a DVD documentary from the National Geographic Channel. With only 2 months until release, the website for SEGA’s upcoming RPG, Sonic Chronicles has opened, ready for exploration. What makes it actually worth a visit, (besides the new information), is the user interface. It is near identical to that found in the game. In order to navigate the website users are encouraged to use a stylus controller (via the mouse) in order to move Sonic.
