It’s difficult to beat last week’s Xbox Live Arcade release of the original Soulcalibur. Nevertheless Microsoft have got two titles on offer come July 9th. Schizoid is a co-op experience with fast paced gameplay over 120 levels. It’s heavy on the reflexes and takes it up a level with the Uberschizoid mode where you’re in control of two ships. It can be grabbed for 800 Microsoft Points. For something more calm, Golf: Tee It Up! is available for 800 Microsoft Points. It offers offline and online 19 hole tournaments with crazy characters and multiple modes. It’s got a fancy Focus feature which helps you read the green mid-flight. Both games can be grabbed 9.00am on Wednesday. Comments (6) |

The long awaited PS3 2.40 firmware update was pulled following technical issues. Sony have just announced that it’ll be re-released sometime this week. According to customer support, version 2.41 will be available “mid-week”, and should be clear of all errors. However, Sony has yet to make an official statement confirming this. The original 2.4 update is still available from various sites around the Internet; however you can’t download it from your PS3. Comments (5) |
