Sony have just revealed that a new Firmware update for the PSP will be “released soon.” The update, version 4.05, will hopefully bring new visualizations when music playback is in full swing. There’s other “features” planned for update, but now news on what. Neither is there any indication of a rollout date. Hopefully the update will be smoother than the PS3 2.40 fiasco. UPDATE: The update has been released. Comments (2) |

Too Human has been getting a lot of slack from internet forums around the world. You’ll be able to make up your own mind on it with the release of a demo on Xbox Live (minus Japan). It’s a third person action game from Silicon Knights and it lets you play as Baldur in a battle that’s threatening mankind. The demo comes in at 1.09 GB and can be grabbed now. Konami is allegedly suing Harmonix, Viacom and MTV Networks over patent infringement. Patents were issued in 2002 and 2003 to the publisher which covered simulated musical instruments and a "musical-rhythm matching game" – both of which feature in the popular Rock Band game developed by Harmonix. According to a complaint filed in Marshall Texas, Konami is seeking cash compensation and an order to block Viacom and Harmonix using the peripherals included in the game. Konami has its own Guitar Freaks series, which first appeared in arcades in 1999 and has since moved to PlayStation and PlayStation 2 formats. Also, they recently announced Rock Revolution, another music-based game centred around drums and in production at the UKs Zoe Mode studio. A spokesperson for Viacom told Bloomberg that the company has yet to receive a complaint from Konami and so would not issue any comment. Be first to comment this article |
