![]() If you've read our Audiosurf review then you'll know that we love it. So much so that we took the bull by the horns and sent in some questions to Dylan, the developer. He kindly answered them as you'll find below and we'd just like to thank Dylan for taking the time to. We wish him the best of luck and that he'll keep up the good work. Avid Gamer (AG): First off, congratulations concerning the success of Audiosurf. Was it difficult getting there? Dylan Fitterer (DF): Thanks! It’s been a ton of work, but I wouldn’t call it difficult. For most of the project I’ve been building Audiosurf for myself to guarantee at least one person would like it. Elizabeth, (my wife) and I did spend a lot of time on usability testing before release. My first attempt at a tutorial didn’t work well and we also found that the early version was far too difficult for new players. AG: Did you expect Audiosurf to become as popular as it has? DF: I couldn’t say I expected it, but I sure was hoping it would be this popular. AG: What’s your favourite game type and song to play? DF: It’s hard to pick a favourite, but I do play a lot of “I Never Want To” by Asynchronous with Pusher Elite. AG: What’s on the horizon for Audiosurf? New Modes / Character types? Downloadable Content? DF: I’ve been steadily adding free features since release and that will continue for a while. Players are requesting a lot of great additions on the forum and I want to get to as many of them as possible. AG: What other games do you enjoy playing and what’s next for yourself, if not Audiosurf related? DF: Lately I’ve been spending time with one of my favourites – Trackmania. Hard to say. I might bring www.bestgameever.com back up to speed and release a free game every Friday to seek a new direction.
