We watched Microsoft’s keynote and for anyone following the site will see the huge amount on information available.  With 48 Billion dollars projected 08 spending for the video games industry, the Xbox 360 is a leading figure. With 10.3 Million Units sold and 12 million members on Xbox Live, things are about to change. Here’s our roundup with links to everything viewable, lookable and readable [below.]

Marketplace / Dashboard Updates:

This fall a marketplace / dashboard update will completely change Xbox Live’s look. Nintendo Wii’like Mii’s, called Avatars will recreate the friends menu and the way you play games. Live Party allows group interaction; joining games, sharing films, TV, pictures and communication, with up to 8 players. Xbox Live Primetime brings TV game shows to Xbox Live with the use of Avatars to win real prizes. Uno Rush was shown off to showcase the Avatars. There’s an exclusive partnership with Netflix which will be free for existing subscribers.

Gameplay Demonstrations:

  • Fallout 3 – 4 Minute Long Gameplay Footage, Exclusive DLC on the way.
  • Resident Evil 5 – 3 Minutes of CO-OP (Online) Gameplay, launching 12th March.
  • Fable 2 - 5+ Minutes of footage. Online CO-OP shown off, coming October this year.
  • Gears of War 2 – 5 Minutes of gameplay; Miniguns, flamethrowers, Brumarks, online co-op and November 7th release date.
  • Banjo Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts - New gameplay footage.
  • Guitar Hero: World Tour – 85 Songs, R.E.M, The Eagles, Van Halen and Metallica Exclusive Content.
  • Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise – 100 New Pinata, Card system shown off to scan in animals.
  • Lips – Singstar type game, wireless mics which light up, use your OWN music collection.
